On February 8, 2010 we published the first official G1NBC-ARB blog, now one month to the day, the second is published.

Wow…was it only a month, so many revisions, updates, second looks, decisions and final decisions. You would think that this kind of pressure is daunting to the growth process of a business, but to the contrary we have embraced it, almost welcomed it.

Why?

Because it means that we care about our company and how it is perceived by our community and the rest of the business world. It is very important to be well received in our community because we are a network of “local TV stations”, with a goal of having an affiliate station in every county. A veteran media person asked me last month “…what is a G1NBC affiliate?”

The answer is simple, so simple it may have eluded this 20+ year media guru…it has the same meaning as being an affiliate with any other TV network, except for one thing…freedom!

An affiliate manager at G1NBC (Global 1 Network Broadcasting Company) has the freedom to select what programming will run on the affiliate end of the signal. This is the part that is very exciting about what we do here, to be able to reach out and assist others with their aspirations, dreams and goals. Already we have three TV series in the works that will assist the small business community of this county in getting more market recognition for their brand, both in the county and across the nation.

Hello Washtenaw County and Welcome!

My name is Tony Dixon and in case you were unaware, I have recently been named the new General Manager of the Washtenaw County affiliate of G1NBC.

I feel that this is a tremendous moment in my professional career, and a landmark moment for the county of Washtenaw. I have always wanted to share this culturally diverse section of Michigan with the rest of the state and the country as a whole. So to be selected for a post where that is the main goal is not so much taking a new job, but more akin to accepting a quest mission!

So what does this mean for the county and its people?

It means a focused, localized stimulus for the business, entertainment and educational communities of this county. It means job opportunites for those who wish to get in on the ground floor of the new media business. It means new TV production opportunites for those who wish to work both in front of,  behind or in support of the camera.

It means new partnership and sponsorship opportunites for local entreprenuers. For new businesses it means a very economicable solution to advertising and marketing. For established and growing businesses it means new and creative avenues to reach the internet, mobile and cable TV platforms. For businesses that have a dot-com or internet store it means easy access to those new international markets that will be accessable.
